Musical Theatre
Sleep-Away Camp
Held at Pocono Plateau Camp
Pocono Mountains, Cresco, PA
Incoming Grades 6-12 Co-Ed |
Cost: $850
June 23-28, 2019 (arrive June 23 at 3pm)

•Daily classes in voice, acting and dance, in addition to daily show rehearsals
•Accommodations are in well-kept, climate-controlled cabins of 10 campers
and 2 counselors
•Camp located on scenic Beaver Lake
•16 Meals are served in the camp dining hall; Several outdoor barbeques throughout the week
•All activities of the general camp are available to musical theater campers at no additional charge
•Outstanding staff to camper ratio: 1:4
•Adult supervision at all times
•Final production presented indoors on a proscenum stage (open to the public)

Incoming Grades 7-12 Co-Ed
Cost: $1300 July 28-August 2, 2019
(arrive July 28 at 2pm)

Camp includes:
• Daily classes in voice, acting and dance, in addition to daily show rehearsals
• Lodging in three beautiful adjacent beach cottages one block from the beach with staff present in each
• Located one block from ocean with lifeguards
• 16 home-cooked meals and BBQs throughout the week
• Special events include walks to mini golf and arcade
• Outstanding staff to camper ratio: 1:4
• Adult supervision at all times
• Final production presented in local venue (open to the public)

All instructors, directors and counselors are either New Jersey Certified Teachers or working performing arts professionals. Our outstanding faculty have appeared in thousands of shows collectively. Brightest Star Summer Musical Theatre is a “triple threat” program designed to fully educate campers in the musical theatre genre. Students will receive daily classes in voice, acting and dance, as well as lessons in technical theatre, character development, costuming and story-writing. Previous experience is not a prerequisite. No audition required.
Great attention is given to safety and security at all Brightest Star camps.

Scholarships Available: The following scholarships, made possible by our generous donors, are merit and need based. Final decision is that of the director, who reserves the right to divide these fees.

Each student is featured in the Cabaret at the end of the first week and in the Broadway-title show at the end of the third week. Shows are open to the public.
